1. Preparation and inspection after delivery

Before using your electric vehicle for the first time, you should inspect it thoroughly. A careful inspection will help avoid future problems and ensure that everything arrived complete and undamaged.

Checklist after unpacking:

• Check the body and paint for damage

• Are accessories complete? (Mirror, charger, tools, COC document)

• Two ignition keys available?

• Battery and charger included?

• Carefully remove the transport lock – ideally with two people

Tip: Take photos of your vehicle immediately after delivery to be on the safe side in case of transport damage.

2. Charge the battery correctly – before the first ride

A fully charged battery is required for first use. Please note the following battery care instructions:

• Only use the original charger (e.g. 5A or 10A)

• Do not charge the battery below 0 degrees Celsius – cold can damage the cells

• Note the charging indicator: Red means "charging", green means "fully charged"

• Avoid deep discharge – ideally keep the battery between 20 and 80 percent

• Do not charge the battery in direct sunlight or extreme heat

• Charging time depending on the model: between 3 and 6 hours

If you're storing your vehicle over the winter, charge the battery to approximately 70 percent and store it at room temperature. This will preserve the cell structure and extend its lifespan.

3. Technical check – safety before the first ride

Before your first drive, it's essential to perform a technical safety check. This is the only way to ensure your vehicle is functioning properly:

• Test ignition: Does the vehicle start reliably?

• Check lighting: front light, rear light, indicators and brake light

• Check tire pressure: recommendation 2.3–2.5 bar

• Check the tread depth and condition of the tires

• Check brakes: lever play, braking force, brake pads

• Mirror, seat and stand: permanently mounted?

• Steering flexible and without play?

• Are the connectors and cables visibly intact?

A thorough check protects you on the road and prevents technical defects.

4. Driving license regulations and legal information

Depending on the speed of your electric vehicle, different driving license requirements apply:

• Up to 25 km/h: Moped test certificate (from 15 years)

• Up to 45 km/h: Driving license class AM or B (car driving license)

• Over 45 km/h: Driving license class A1, A2, A or B196

Important: For vehicles over 45 km/h, an insurance number plate or official license plate is required. You should always carry a copy of the COC certificate with you, especially during traffic checks.

5. Road safety

• Helmets are compulsory from 20 km/h – wear a tested protective helmet

• No structural changes to the lighting system, exhaust, indicators or brackets

• No tuning or intervention in the power electronics (e.g. controller)

• Before every ride: Visually check for loose screws, damaged cables or loose components

• Drive carefully in wet conditions – braking distances increase significantly

• Anticipatory driving in the dark, potholes or heavy traffic

• Carry a copy of the COC document, especially for faster models

Illegal modifications or manipulation of the vehicle will result in the loss of the operating license and expose you to legal risks.

6. Care and maintenance – How to keep your electric vehicle in top condition

Regular care extends the life of your Star-Biker vehicle and ensures an attractive appearance.

• Clean the vehicle only with water and a soft cloth

• Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents

• Avoid high-pressure cleaners – danger to electronics

• Store the battery in a dry place at room temperature

• Check plug connections regularly and treat with contact spray if necessary

• After 500 km: Have brakes checked by a specialist workshop

• Once a year: Check brake fluid and wear parts

7. Charging the battery – Safety instructions for lithium technology

A lithium-ion battery is powerful but sensitive. Special care must be taken when charging:

• Only charge in ventilated, safe sockets
