E-Chopper 45 km/h — with car driver's license, no MOT
The 45 km/h class is the core of the Star-Biker product range. Car driver's license Class B or moped license Class AM is fully sufficient — no extra course, no motorcycle test. No MOT, no vehicle tax. An insurance plate from approx. 50 €/year is the only ongoing registration cost.
All vehicles come with a COC document for immediate EU road approval and are delivered directly to your door by a forwarding agent from 29 €. 24 months warranty on frame and motor are standard.

What you need — and what you don't
Driving license: Class B (car driver's license) or Class AM (moped license, from 15 years). If you are allowed to drive a car, you can drive all 45 km/h vehicles from Star-Biker — no extra course, no extra test, no visit to a driving school.
Insurance plate: Apply directly to your car insurance — from approx. 50 €/year. No visit to the registration office, no official inspection. The license plate is valid from March 1st to February 28th.
No MOT, no vehicle tax: 45 km/h vehicles are classified as light motorcycles — no main inspection, no tax. This makes them significantly cheaper to maintain than any 85 km/h vehicle or motorcycle.

The Star-Biker 45 km/h range includes the most popular models: Chopper 6.0s (from 2,499 €) — the bestseller with 17-inch rims and a range of up to 120 km. Bobber M8S Custom (from 3,099 €) — lowered frame, wide tires, exposed engine, up to 150 km range. M1P Custom (from 2,699 €) — compact chopper with custom fender and 14-inch front wheel. M1PS Knight (from 2,799 €) — the most distinctive 45 km/h chopper in the range.
All models share the same advantages: removable Samsung batteries, hydraulic disc brakes, full LED lighting, keyless drive, alarm system and complete COC documentation. Available for delivery to Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

What does a 45 km/h vehicle cost per year?
Insurance: Approx. 50–80 €/year for the insurance plate. In comparison: liability insurance for a car costs many times that. No MOT (approx. 100 €/2 years omitted), no vehicle tax (completely omitted).
Electricity: Approx. 0.50–1 € per 100 km — with an annual mileage of 3,000 km, that's approx. 15–30 € electricity costs. The operating costs of a 45 km/h e-chopper are therefore approx. 70–120 € per year total — for a road-legal vehicle with COC.

All vehicles are delivered via freight forwarding with appointment scheduling — from €29 within Germany. The vehicle arrives partially assembled; the front wheel and handlebars are installed in approximately 30–45 minutes. A tool kit is included, and free assembly tutorials explain every step.
Optional: Assembly service from €159 — delivered ready to ride, checked, warranty remains valid. After purchase, the service partner network provides maintenance, software updates, and spare parts throughout Germany.
Questions about 45 km/h E-Choppers & E-Scooters
Yes — for all 45 km/h vehicles, a Class B car driving license is sufficient. Class AM (moped license, from 15 years old) is also sufficient. No additional course, no motorcycle test, no need to go to a driving school.
No — 45 km/h vehicles are classified as light motorcycles (Class L1e or L3e) and are not subject to mandatory general inspections. No TÜV, no vehicle tax. Only an insurance license plate from approx. €50/year is required.
