Expert Advice
Flash frequency & relay: Star-Biker vehicles operate with a 60V main battery, and the voltage for the indicators is regulated down to 12V via a DC-DC converter. Many modern LED indicators already have the control electronics integrated. If the flash frequency is still too fast (hyperflash) after conversion, this can be easily corrected by a load-independent LED flasher relay or intervening resistors.
Frequently Asked Questions about the Product
Are sequential LED indicators permitted?
Yes. The indicators have a valid E-mark. This means they are fully approved for public road traffic within the EU, and no additional TÜV registration is required.
Do I need resistors or a different flasher relay?
That depends on your exact vehicle model and the existing wiring harness. If "hyperflashing" (too fast flashing) occurs, a load-independent flasher relay or an LED resistor can provide a quick remedy.
Can I install the indicators myself?
With basic technical knowledge, installation is straightforward. The indicators are screwed to the fork or fender and connected to the 12V electrical system. For a completely clean integration, we recommend a service partner otherwise.
