The Chopper M1P is approved as a 45 km/h light moped and can be ridden with a Class B driver's license (regular car driver's license) or Class AM (moped license from 16 years old). A motorcycle license is not required.

Both are based on the same Mangosteen M1P platform with identical core technical data: 30Ah 60V battery, 130 Nm motor, 45 km/h. The Classic is no longer available — the Basic is the current successor model with the same drive components.

The front wheel is supplied separately and must be assembled. Assembly takes approximately 30–45 minutes. The assembly video shows each step in detail.

The 30Ah Samsung SDI battery (60V) allows a range of up to 130 km depending on riding style. It is removable and can be charged with the 5A charger at any standard 230V socket.

Unlocking up to 65 km/h is intended exclusively for private property — on public roads in Germany, the approved maximum speed of 45 km/h applies.

As a 45 km/h light moped, you need an inexpensive insurance license plate (from approx. €50 per year) — no TÜV, no vehicle tax, no main inspection. Star-Biker supplies all COC documents for registration.
